Brow Lift
One of the important points in face rejuvenation is position of the brows. Due to volume loss and gravity over time, brows moves downwards and cause a tired look and load on eyelids.
Position and shape of the brows should be evaluated in detail in patients who apply due to excess skin on the eyes. During these evaluation, the different between men and women should be taken into account. Generally in men, brows are straight and located at the level of bone structure above eyeball, while in women brows are curved and located approximatly 1 cm above the eye bone.
Normal located brow cause the person to look younger and decrease the load on the eyelids. Brow lift surgery is carried out through a small incision on hairy skin. In suitable patients endoscopic brow lift can be applied. Endoscopic surgery is known to be without scar.
The operation takes approximately 1 hour. It can be carried out under local or general anesthesia. Entering through hairy skin, horizontal lines on forehead are corrected and the brows are shaped. With endoscopic method, tracts are opened for small tools to pass and intended procedure is applied through these tools.
Recovery time after operation approximately takes 1 week. Bruise and swelling may occur and swelling can be felt on eyelids. Sutures are removed after 1 week. If they wish, the patients can put make-up after 2 days.
