PRP Treatment

PRP is the abbreviation of Platelet Rich Plasma. It is a liquid obtained from blood and containing more    blood platelet. Blood is taken from the patient and blood cells called blood platelet distilled by processing.

These cells are the first cells who go to the area in case of an injury and they have growing factor which has an important role in repair and reconstruction. After effect of PRP is found out, it is started to be used for the treatment of other diseases requiring tissue repair. In plastic surgery, it is used effectively for skin rejuvenation, hair loss.

Especially, after age of 35, skin self-rejuvenation ability decreases, before this age the skin may need repair due to skin and hair diseases causes by sun, smoking and other factors. PRP should be remembered for these cases.

Session number of the prp is depending on some factors such as age, damage intensity in the skin or hair. After an intense beginning treatment, a continue treatment may be needed with longer intervals.

Before the procedure, blood is taken from the patient and local anesthetic cream is applied. After prp is prepared, it is injected through micro needling subcutaneous bolus administration or mask. A temporary redness and bruise may occur. Generally, it does not cause pain. Prp is more effective when applied together with dermapen, gold needle radiofrequency.

After the application, moisturizer and suncream can be used.
